Los SSD son rápidos, pero caros, y ofrecen una capacidad mínima. Los discos duros mecánicos cuentan con una gran capacidad a un precio bajo, pero son mucho más lentos que un SSD. La tecnología StoreD de AMD “combina” estos dos tipos de almacenamiento en una sola unidad y transfiere automáticamente los datos a los que más accede al SSD, para que obtenga lo mejor de ambos mundos: la capacidad de respuesta del SSD y la capacidad mecánica del disco duro. También puede usar hasta 2 GB de RAM como caché de último nivel para datos ultra rápidos
